The Restaurant is located on the ground floor, near the inner courtyard.
It is open to the general public (not only to museum visitors) and can sit forty guests in the framework of the inner hall that is made unique by a remarkable collection of tin-glazed earthenware. Thanks to a motorised retractable awning that covers it, the atrium can also be used so that eighty additional seats can be set outdoors (for a total of one-hundred and twenty guests for buffet meals).
A style mixing ancient and modern is a distinctive feature of the restaurant. The restoration works planned by the architect and designer Gae Aulenti left the original architecture of the 16th century untouched; however, the rooms have been furnished with modern and contemporary design pieces.
The Restaurant Palazzo Branciforte caters for meetings, congresses, workshops or private events that can be organised at the Auditorium of the Palazzo.
The young chef Gaetano Billeci presents remarkable recipes and menus, which are clearly linked to tradition but with gentle and refined nuances in combination with a well-established technique.
